The Miami Dolphins seeks to take their fifth win the 2010 National Football League when they play host to the visiting Tennessee Titans on November 14.
Playing in-front of its fans, boosted the chance of the Dolphins to improve its 4-4 win-loss record against the Titans who holds a superior 5-3 record.
Despite its home advantage, the Dolphins is the underdog in the game due to the better record of the Titans who is having a relatively average NFL season this year.
To increase its chances in the game and inject a winning attitude among its players, the Dolphins management has designated back-up quarterback Chad Pennington as the new starting quaterback of the team against the Titans.
Dolphins coach Tony Sparano said now that the team is in dire need of a win to increase its chances of entering the NFL playoffs and playing in the Super Bowl, Pennington is the right man for the job as the top quarterback of the team.
Sparano said both Pennington and former Dolphins starting quarterback Chad Henne are great players but at this point, the 11-year veteran is a better fit for the team than Henne.
Pennington is very happy with his promotion as the new starting quarterback of the team but revealed that the team needs to play hard for them to be successful this year.
Henn for his part is sad with his demotion but as a team player he fully respects the decision of the Dolphins management.
The third year NFL quarterback said he is happy for Pennington who had been his mentor in his years with the Dolphins.
Now that Pennington takes the starting quarterback role for the Dolphins, the team needs to play an A-game if they wish to upset the favored Titans.
The Titans for its part need to continue playing hard to keep its winning momentum and avoid an upset against the home-team on Sunday.
