Defending champ Saints shows Steelers who’s boss 20-10

In a battle between two of the top teams in the National Football League this year, the defending champion New Orleans Saints shows the Pittsburgh Steelers they are for real 20-10 in their game.
Playing in-front of its fans, the Saints rely on the heroics of superstar quarterback Drew Brees to defeat the red-hot Steelers and improve their record to 5-3 in the 2010 NFL season.
Brees was visibly on top of his game in their match-up, as he connected all but two of 22 passes in the second half, including two fourth-quarter touchdowns that lifted them to victory over the Steelers.
The victory of the Saints is a strong statement that the NFL team is dead serious of defending their NFL crown this year.
The win improve further the chances of the defending NFL champion to enter the playoffs and play in the Super Bowl this year.
The Steelers for its part dropped to 5-2 in the ongoing NFL season.
Lead by superstar quarterback Ben Roethlisberger the Steelers played 101 percent against the home-team using their vaunted defense.
However, the night belong to the Saints as they were able to come up victorious against the Steelers in their game.
Despite their defeat,  Roethlisberger and his teammates remain confident of their chances in the 2010 NFL season.
Roethlisberger said the road towards the NFL playoffs and the Super Bowl will not be easy but he and the rest of the team are willing to do everything to achieve it for the sake of the franchise and their countless fans.

Injury could spell doom for Cowboys chances in 2010 NFL season

The woes of the Dallas Cowboys continue in the current National Football League season.
In a recent loss to the New York Giants at home, the Cowboys lose due to an injury its superstar quarterback Tony Romo who is expected to miss six to eight weeks of NFL action due to his left collarbone injury.
The Cowboys were leading majority of the game against the Giants but the injury suffered by Romo made the momentum shift to the visiting team who defeated them 41-35 in-front of their fans.
With the injury suffered by Romo the season of the Cowbys are now in serious doubt especially their chance to enter the NFL playoffs and even competing in the Super Bowl this year.
To improve its woeful 1-5 win-loss record, the Cowboys must find ways to win and limit their turnovers so that they can come up with a victory against the rest of the NFL teams.
Taking charge for the Cowboys not that Romo is injured is 38-year-old back-up quarterback Jon Kitna, who hadn’t played since Oct. 5, 2008, when he was part of Detroit’s win-less season.
Now that he is the starting quarterback for the Cowboys, a big challenge now await Kitna who now must now show what he is capable of doing since the season is on the line for the team.
Hope is still not loss for the Cowboys since a 1-5 Cincinnati Bengals team in 1970 was still able to enter the NFL playoffs despite its woeful record.
If the Cowboys wish to win and salvage its losing season it must work and play hard this year.
In beating the Cowboys, Giants superstar quarterback Eli Manning was the man of the hour for the team as he spearhead the Giants from a 13-point deficit to a 41-35 victory that put the Giants a full game ahead of the NFC East and tied for the most wins in the conference.
Manning led the Giants on five straight scoring drives over the middle two quarters, posting 31 points.
With their victory the Giants are now flying high in the current NFL season and on target of getting a slot in the NFL playoffs and even compete for the Super Bowl in the 2010 NFL season.
To continue winning the 5-2 Giants must play hard consistently and limit its errors in the current NFL season.

Rookie QB lead Cardinals to victory over defending NFL champ Saints

In his first stint as the starting quarterback for the Arizona Cardinals, Max Hall has shown the world he is capable of handling such task for his team in the current National Football League season.
Hall surprised everybody with his good performance in the Cardinals 30-20 victory against the defending National Football League champion New Orleans Saints at their own home-floor.
Playing at their own arena, Hall completed completed 17 of 27 passes for 168 yards to help his team to victory against the Saints.
Hall’s performance in the game is just average after he also committed an error when he throw an interception that lead to an early Saints field goal and fumbled twice.
Although his game is not superb, Cardinals coach Ken Whisehunt said it is still enough to bring victory to their team.
Whisehunt said inspite of being a rookie, Hall did not succumb to pressure as he had a modest game to bring a much needed win to the team that tied them with the Saints at 3-2 win loss record.
The Cardinals coach said Hall still has many things to learn in the NFL but he is confident he can perform well as the team’s starting quarterback.
He said the team is very focused on their goal to capture the Super Bowl crown this year.
The Saints as expected is not happy with their defeat but credited Hall for a good game.
Despite their defeat, the Saints are still confident they can still successfully defend their Super Bowl trophy in the 2010 NFL season.
