Professional football fans all over the globe will be in for a treat when the Philadelphia Eagles host the Atlanta Falcons in the 2010 National Football League on October 17.
Both the Eagles and Falcons are aiming for victory in their game to further improve their chances in the ongoing NFL season.
Having a superior record of 4-1 win-loss record, the Falcons is favored to win over the Eagles (2-3) who will miss the services for the second straight game star quarterback Michael Vick.
The troops of Mike Smith is expected to win against the Eagles, who had been bothered by injuries to its key players due to the strong plays of its stars quarterback Matt Ryan, running-back Michael Turner and wide receiver Roddy White.
The Falcons stars have been great in the current NFL season as they do their roles pretty well that lead to their wins against some of the top teams in the NFL.
The Falcons are having a great year due to their superb offence and remarkable defense that created headaches among their opponents in the 2010 NFL season.
The team currently leads the pack in defense this year with 10 interceptions while collecting three fumbles and holding opposing QBs to a 72.5 rating.
Despite being the underdog, the Eagles could still win against the Falcons if back quarterback Kevin Kolb, can have a great performance in the absence of Vick.
Kolb should also not only look for ways to core but rather provide scoring opportunities to his teammates.
Over-all the Eagles should also do its best to limit the offence and defense of the Eagles so that they defeat them and bring joy to their fans.
