Red-hot Mavericks targets 9th straight win vs. Kings

The Dallas Mavericks hopes to get its ninth straight win in the current National Basketball Association season when they visit the struggling Sacramento Kings on Saturday evening.
Sporting an impressive record of 15-4, the Maverick is the hottest team in the NBA today and getting their 16th victory of the NBA season will be easy against the Kings.
The Mavericks is having a banner year in the current NBA season and just a game behind NBA leader San Antonio Spurs.
The NBA Western Conference powerhouse is playing superb this year due to the strong plays of its core players lead by versatile power-forward Dirk Nowitzki, veteran point-guard Jason Kidd and high-flying guard Jason “Jet” Terry.
The past NBA seasons, the Mavericks also had the number of the Kings beating them for the past six games.
Mavericks forward Caron Butler also had a great season for his team that contributed greatly to the success of the Mavericks this year.
Butler said if they continue to play as a team and with the sole purpose of winning, there is no reason they cannot get the NBA championship from the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2010-2011 NBA season.
If Butler and the rest of the Mavericks will have an A-game on Saturday night, the night could be early for the home-team Kings.
Despite the huge odds against them, the Kings could still win the game and upset the Mavericks if they play tough defense and limit their turnovers.
Kings star point-guard Tyreke Evans also needs to shake off the dust and play great to give his team a chance to beat the Mavericks.
The 2009-10 rookie of the year averaged 19.9 points on 44.7-percent shooting his first 10 games, but 12.7 on a paltry 28.9-percent shooting the last six contests.
However, if Evans can repeat his 22.5 points and made 50.7 percent of his shots average in four games against the Mavericks last season this year, there is a big chance for the home-team to upset the Mavericks.
Evans is the main catalyst for the Kings if he can produce great numbers and dished out assist to his teammates, victory against the tough Mavericks is very possible for the Kings.
The Kings are in dire need of much needed wins this year to improve their 4-13 record and get the chance to compete in the playoffs in the current NBA season.
