THE RED-hot Dallas Stars are favored to roll past the host Calgary Flames in their scheduled Friday evening game in the current National Hockey League season.
The Stars is picked to win their game due to their better record of 29-13-5 compared to the 20-21-6 record of the host Flames.
The NHL Pacific leading Stars is heavily favored to prevail over the Flames since they have won eight of their past road games.
The favored stars had reasons to be confident of its chances against the Flames since they have beaten the latter in Calgary five of their past six games.
To keep their winning streak alive and avoid an upset forward Jamie Benn needs to continue playing hard for his team alongside Adam Burish.
Benn had an assist against the Flames last month and a goal in a 3-1 victory in the Stars’ last visit to Calgary on Feb. 11.
The second-year winger has four goals and four assists his last five contests overall.
If Benn and Burish will have a great game it would be an early night for the home team.
The underdog Flames for their part can pull an upset if winger Alex Tanguay will have an awesome game come game-time.
Though Tanguay has one goal in his last 11 games, he has five with five assists in his last eight against the Stars.
After averaging 3.6 goals during a 2-0-3 stretch, the Flames were stymied on 37 shots in a 6-0 loss to Minnesota on Wednesday.
The odds of winning might not be on their side but the home-team Flames can still pull an upset if they would play as a team and give their A-game come game-time.
NHL Teams: Calgary Flames, Dallas Stars
