THE CHICAGO Bulls hopes to improve their record when they play host to the Detroit Pistons on Monday night in the current National Basketball Association season.
Sporting a 24-12 record the home-team Bulls are the odds on favorite to prevail over the struggling Pistons (12-24) in their game.
The Bulls had reason to be confident of its chances against the Pistons since they have beaten the latter in their past nine-games and hopes to extend it to 10 on Monday evening.
Coming into the game, the Bulls are on a positive mood after they beat the Atlantic-Division leading Boston Celtics 90-79 Saturday.
To defeat the visiting Pistons, Bull superstar point-guard Derrick Rose must continue with his scoring ways against their NBA Eastern Conference rivals.
It can be recalled that Rose scored a career high-tying 39 points in a 101-91 home win over Detroit on Oct. 30, going 13 of 27 from the floor and 10 of 13 on foul shots.
Rose has averaged 25.8 points in four career home games versus the Pistons, shooting 62.5 percent from the field.
If the Pistons cannot put a handcuff on Rose it would be early night for the visiting team.
To win over the Pistons, the Bulls also need to play hard in defense in 48 minutes against their opponent.
Beating the Bulls on its own home-floor might be a tall order, but the Pistons could do it if they can give their 101 percent effort come game-time.
To defeat the home-team Bulls, the Pistons must learn how to stop Rose from scoring and making plays for his team.
If the Pistons can play tough defense on Rose, there is a huge chance for the team to end their losing woes against the Bulls.
In order to beat the Bulls, Pistons veteran forward Tayshun Prince needs to take the lead in scoring, rebounding and defense for his team.
Pistons star point-guard Rodney Stuckey also needs to produce solid numbers to bring a much needed win for his team against the home-team.
