National Football League superstar quarterback Brett Favre has shown the world big-time that he still has enough energy left in his tank to play in the premier professional football league in the planet.
Favre lead the Minnesota Vikings to a thrilling 27-24 victory over the visiting Arizona Cardinals to improve their record to 3-5 in tie with the the losing team in the 2010 NFL season.
The superstar quarterback was at his best in the game as he threw for 446 yards, more than he had throw in in any of his previous 285 career regular season starts.
The NFL superstar also had  36 completions which tied for the most in his career (had 36 on Dec. 5, 1993 at Bears) to improve his team’s chances of entering the NFL playoffs and playing in the Super Bowl.
Favre was very determined to give a much needed victory to his team as he engineered another jaw-dropping fourth-quarter comeback that may have saved the Vikings’ season.
Shades of the NFL superstar was all over the game as he  completed 36 of 47 passes with two touchdowns and two interceptions in easily his best performance of the season.
It was his first 400-yard game since Dec. 5, 1993, when he threw for 402 at Chicago as a Green Bay Packer.
The remarkable performance of Favre made him joined the ranks of Tommy Kramer and Joe Kapp as the Vikings quarterbacks with the most prolific passing games in team history.
While the Vikings are celebrating it is the other-way around for the Cardinals who is sad with their loss.
Despite their loss, Cardinals star quarterback Derek Anderson is still confident of their chances in the ongoing NFL season.
In the game, Anderson lead his team in a losing cause as he went 15 for 26 for 179 yards and a touchdown.
Minneapolis native Larry Fitzgerald had seven catches for 107 yards for the Cardinals, who had the ball first to start overtime.
The loss also showed that Anderson is now  ready to carry the team on his back after the recent retirement of the team’s former superstar quarterback Kurt Warner.
